Find me a jobWe're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in London, United Kingdom in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize end-to-end data foundations and analytical solutions to enable data-driven decision-making and increase business value. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for implementing modern data engineering practices, driving technical excellence, and mentoring junior team members. This position requires both deep technical knowledge and the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to translate data strategy into actionable outcomes.

Design and build scalable data solutions and pipelines for enterprise data platformsDevelop data models, manage ETL/ELT processes, and ensure data quality and complianceCollaborate with stakeholders to embed data-driven thinking across business functionsImplement efficient data ingestion and integration workflows across cloud environmentsDrive adoption of data foundation initiatives and best engineering practicesCoordinate change, incident, and problem management processesMentor and guide junior data engineers on solution design and technical practicesPresent data insights, architecture reports, and recommendations to key stakeholdersEnsure implementation efficiency and consistent project delivery standardsContribute to internal communities, including Centers of Excellence (CoE) and Communities of Practice (CoP)8+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related rolesMaster-level expertise in AWS, Azure, or SAP data ecosystemsStrong proficiency in ELT, data modeling, and data integrationSkilled in data manipulation, processing, and orchestration frameworksHands-on experience with Data Factory, Databricks, SQL DB, Synapse, Stream Analytics, Glue, Airflow, Kinesis, Redshift, SonarQube, and PyTestProficiency with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOpsStrong communication and collaboration skills to align technical and business stakeholdersProven ability to lead solution delivery and enhance team performanceStrong analytical decision-making and governance capabilitiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related disciplineExperience managing agile or scrum teamsExposure to BPC or other enterprise planning toolsExperience working within external technical ecosystems and vendor environmentsFamiliarity with MKDocs documentation toolsExperience in commodity trading and supply operations, ideally within the energy sector
