Business Administrator Apprentice
We are offering this role as an apprenticeship to attract candidates who seek an opportunity to gain new skills and experience working on an administrative role in the NHS within the Human Resources Division. On successful completion of the programme, the apprentice will achieve a Business Administrator Level 3 qualification.
Role
- To provide first-line support to all users of the e-rostering system and deal with cases raised via the teams' help desk.
- To work with other members of the e-Rostering team to assist in the management of the electronic rostering system used within the Trust.
- To provide assistance and advice to new and existing users of the system.
- To ensure the smooth running of the e-Rostering department transactional processes, by following internal SOPs for data validation and accuracy, ensuring that data is consistent across all e-Rostering systems and ESR.
- Produce and distribute regular e-rostering reports to users and managers across the Trust.
- To provide technical and system support, answering support queries raised through the e-rostering team's help desk.
- To maintain a high degree of customer service and support at all times.
- To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues and escalate where required.
- Process staff and organisational changes and requests in a timely manner, whilst being aware of when further guidance may be required.
- Controls and directs unresolved issues to relevant resource within the e-Rostering team or other external departments.
- Keeps accurate records of resolved cases and logs calls on the call logging system and maintains full documentation where required.
- Support all staff groups and users of the e-Rostering system in line with the agreed processes.
- Support by delivering training sessions and induction presentations to staff and users of the system
Training
The candidate will complete an apprenticeship within the agreed-upon subject for the vacancy. This may include a BTEC Diploma/Standard and End Point Assessment. It may also include Functional Skills in maths and English.
Employer training will be provided.
The apprentice at the end of this qualification will achieve a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.
This is a Business Administration Apprenticeship (fixed-term Band 3) but with an option to become permanent at Band 4 after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
