Account Director/Bid Manager (Full time or 6 month contract)
Introduction
Our client is an exciting North West–based and international SaaS scale-up. They are experiencing rapid growth with strong private investment and are looking for a talented Account Director/Bid Manager which could be either a 6month contract or permanent role.
The Role
The position is for an experienced Account Director/Leader/Bid Manager. The role is critical in supporting our client’s position as an incumbent supplier to a central government department—an account vital to the company’s existing ARR revenue. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring retention of this client, building a long-term strategy to expand the account, and identifying further opportunities within central government.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute account strategy for major central government accounts
- Protect and grow incumbent government account relationships
- Navigate procurement frameworks and government buying processes
- Lead on complex SaaS/IT services bids and proposals
- Report directly into the CSO and CEO, collaborating with senior leadership
- Support the company’s growth trajectory toward exit in 3–5 years
Candidate Profile
- Strong track record of selling SaaS or IT services into central government
- In-depth knowledge of frameworks, procurement, and government sales cycles
- Experience managing major, complex bids and long sales cycles
- SC cleared (or able to obtain clearance)
- North West based, able to commute daily to Cheshire office
- Strategic thinker with hands-on ability to execute and deliver results
Package & Contract
- Permanent - £80-100k base + bonus TBC
- Contract TBC but will be competitive
