Field Service and Commissioning Engineer

A UK manufacturer of specialist test systems is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer. Based in rural Northamptonshire, you will support bespoke test rigs and rotating equipment used in aerospace, automotive, industrial, energy and petrochemical applications.

The role combines workshop service work with UK and international customer visits. Travel is around 60% of the role, usually in trips of 3 to 5 days but can be longer.

Key duties:

- Install, configure and commission specialist equipment

- Carry out mechanical and electrical installation work

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults

- Complete maintenance, calibration and service work

- Carry out Site Acceptance Testing - Produce clear service reports

- Complete in-house assembly, repair, calibration and testing

- Provide technical customer support

Requirements:

- Electromechanical engineering apprenticeship, qualification or equivalent experience

- Strong electrical skills and sound mechanical knowledge

- Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability

- Experience installing, maintaining, repairing or commissioning equipment

- Able to work independently on customer sites

- Strong communication skills

- Willing to travel internationally

- Full UK driving licence Package:
