The Opportunity

We are working with a fast-growing EV and energy tech startup based in central London. They are on a mission to accelerate the transition to clean energy and they are growing fast. This is one of those roles that does not come up often.

They are looking for someone to sit right at the heart of their go-to-market motion. Not in one lane. Across all of them. Sales, marketing, customer success, commercial projects. You will an important part of the commercial team, working directly with the C-Suite and senior leaders who have built and scaled businesses before.

What You Will Be Doing

The honest answer is: whatever moves the commercial needle. This is not a role where you sit in one function and optimise one thing. You will move across the full Go-To-Market motion depending on where the business needs you most.

That might look like:

  • Getting deep into what is driving pipeline and working with the sales and marketing team to go faster.
  • Jumping into a deal that needs momentum and helping the team push it forward.
  • Owning a commercial project end to end from brief to delivery, coordinating whoever needs to be involved.
  • Making sure new customers have an incredible first experience and get to value fast.
  • Spotting a gap in how the team works and doing something about it.

The common thread is that you take things and run with them. You do not need someone to draw you a map.

Who We Are Looking For

You might be an ex-founder. You might be two or three years into a career at a startup, consultancy or fast-paced commercial role and ready for something with real ownership. You might have had a business that did not quite make it but taught you everything.

More than your background, we are looking for:

  • Someone who is exceptionally smart and moves fast.
  • Commercial instincts that you have actually used in the real world, not just talked about.
  • The confidence to work with senior people and the hunger to prove yourself.
  • An interest in energy, EVs or sustainability.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. Things change quickly here and that is the point.
  • Some CRM experience, Salesforce ideally, but the mindset matters more than the tools.

This is a role for someone who finds a fast-moving, high-growth environment exciting rather than stressful. Someone who wants to be part of building something, not just working somewhere.

Compensation

  • Base salary: c.£55,000 (flexibility for the right person)
  • Annual bonus: 15%
  • Full benefits package
