An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organised and detail-oriented Technical Customer Service Administrator to join a successful engineering and manufacturing business.

This is a varied and fast-paced role supporting the processing of technical enquiries, quotations and customer orders. Working closely with engineering, commercial and project teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring customer requirements are accurately interpreted, recorded and progressed through the business.

This is not a traditional customer service position. The role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working with technical information, engineering documentation and business systems while providing a high standard of customer support.

The Role

As a Technical Customer Service Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing customer enquiries and purchase orders from receipt through to processing.
  • Reviewing technical specifications, drawings and supporting documentation to ensure information is complete and accurate.
  • Processing enquiries, quotations and customer orders using ERP and CRM systems.
  • Maintaining accurate customer, quotation and order records.
  • Supporting the smooth progression of enquiries throughout the business.
  • Liaising with internal engineering, estimating, contracts and commercial teams.
  • Responding to customer queries and providing updates on order progress.
  • Identifying missing or incomplete information and resolving documentation queries.
  • Supporting document control and maintaining accurate technical records.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures and quality standards.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, methodical and enjoys working with accuracy and attention to detail.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within an engineering, manufacturing or technical office environment.
  • Experience in customer service, sales support, order processing or technical administration.
  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, specifications or technical documentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of engineering products or manufacturing processes would be advantageous but is not essential.
