Senior Consultant – Transformation Design Management The Opportunity Do you want to play a key role in shaping enterprise-scale transformation helping clients define the right strategy, design target operating models, and build robust business cases that unlock change? As a Senior Consultant, you’ll lead on critical deliverables within transformation programmes, working alongside managers and directors to turn strategy into action. You’ll translate strategic ambitions and problem statements into actionable plans and contribute to clear roadmaps for success. About Transformation Design Management Transformation Design Management (TDM) architect the blueprint and overall structure of what needs to change based on the strategic outcome and direction set out, and design how the transformation will be delivered and experienced by all stakeholders. We do this by turning strategic intent into actionable, funded change. We translate strategy into measurable outcomes and credible plans, designing target operating models that align goals and KPIs with processes, roles, technology, data, and controls. We build investor grade business cases and budgets, covering strategic rationale, investment appraisal, and funding models. We establish and mobilise the Transformation Management Office (TMO) with governance to steer decisions. We lead transformation programmes end‑to‑end, managing risks, decisions, and benefits realisation. Your Key Responsibilities
- Operating Model Design – Support design of TOM components (processes, roles, governance, tech/data); produce artefacts and analysis under manager guidance.
- Business Case Development – Contribute to business case inputs (costs, benefits, options analysis); prepare supporting models and documentation.
- Programme Mobilisation – Assist in setting up TMO/PMO structures, governance packs, and reporting templates.
- Benefits Tracking – Help define benefits logic and KPIs; maintain tracking dashboards and reports.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Coordinate workshops, prepare materials, and manage day-to-day client interactions.
- Risk & Assurance – Maintain RAID logs and support quality reviews.
- Team Contribution – Deliver high-quality outputs, coach junior colleagues, and actively participate in practice development.
- Ability to design and document TOM elements and link them to strategic objectives.
- Strong analytical and financial skills; comfortable with modelling and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with programme governance and delivery disciplines.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; confident preparing and presenting to stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and quality.
- Proven experience in industry and consulting, driving complex business transformation initiatives
- Over 3 years of experience in programme delivery and transformation design roles, ensuring successful outcomes
- Exposure to operating model design and business case development.
- Ability to produce clear plans, reports, and presentations.
- Degree (or equivalent experience) and strong written/spoken English.
- Sector experience in Technology, Media & Telecoms, Consumer Products & Retail, Industrial Products, Energy & Resources, or Life Sciences.
- Progress toward professional qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, MSP, MoP, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, ISEB/BCS Business Analysis).
- Awareness of benefits realisation frameworks and value tracking.
