Business Development Manager
Each Person — Reward, Recognition & SaaS
Location [Wokingham-based / Hybrid ]
About Each Person
Each Person is the reward, recognition and benefits platform built for people-centric organisations. Our SaaS gives HR, People and Procurement teams a flexible, automated way to engage their people, support emotional, financial and mental wellbeing, and contribute to environmental conservation along the way.
We believe there's no one-size-fits-all approach to looking after people at work. We're a thoughtful partner to HR and procurement leaders, not a flashy benefits provider, and we're growing the team to match that ambition.
The Role
We're looking for a Business Development Manager who is genuinely hungry — a self-starter who can source, develop and win new business across both the public and private sectors. You'll own the full new-business cycle for Each Person's Reward, Recognition and SaaS proposition, from first conversation through to signed contract.
You'll be selling into HR, People, Reward and Procurement teams, as well as senior leadership, across mid-market, enterprise and public sector organisations. This is a consultative sale, but it starts with creativity, curiosity and the drive to get Each Person in front of the right people, in the right way.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you'll have visibility, accountability and the autonomy to shape your own approach.
What You'll Do
- Source your own pipeline using a thoughtful mix of channels, AI tools, LinkedIn, outbound, events, referrals, partner networks and any creative approach that gets Each Person in front of HR and procurement buyers.
- Open doors in both the public and private sectors, navigating frameworks, tenders and procurement processes alongside traditional commercial routes to market.
- Lead consultative discovery conversations with HR Directors, Reward leads, People & Culture leads, Procurement and C-suite buyers to understand their challenges and shape a tailored solution.
- Deliver compelling product demos of the Each Person platform, recognition, rewards, the shop, salary sacrifice benefits, eco-impact features and analytics, across desktop and mobile.
- Use AI to work smarter, not harder, for research, personalisation, account mapping, content and outreach, so every touchpoint feels considered, not copy-paste.
- Build genuine relationships that turn cold connections into long-term customers and advocates.
- Negotiate and close commercial agreements in line with our pricing, packaging and contract framework.
- Hit and exceed quarterly new-business revenue targets (ARR / contract value).
- Manage your pipeline with discipline in HubSpot/CRM — accurate forecasting, clean data, clear next steps.
- Work closely with the CCO, Marketing, Client Success and Product to feed back market signals, refine our positioning and improve conversion at every stage.
- Represent Each Person at industry events, networking and on customer calls — always with warmth and credibility, never pushy.
What You'll Bring
- A genuine self-starter mindset, you don't wait for leads, you create them.
- 2–5 years of B2B new-business sales experience, ideally in HR Tech, SaaS, employee benefits, reward & recognition, wellbeing, payroll or a related people-tech space.
- Experience selling into both public and private sector organisations (or strong appetite to learn the public sector side, including frameworks and tender processes).
- A consistent track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets against ARR or new- business quotas.
- Hunger and enthusiasm for prospecting, you genuinely enjoy the chase and find creative ways to start conversations.
- Confident, modern use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, sales-AI platforms) to accelerate research, outreach and personalisation.
- Strong LinkedIn skills, content, social selling, network building and warm outreach that earns replies.
- Strong consultative selling skills, you can run a discovery call that earns trust on both sides of the table.
- Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders, including HR Directors, Heads of Procurement, CFOs and CEOs.
- Commercial sharpness, comfortable with pricing conversations, ROI framing and procurement.
- Excellent written communication, your proposals, follow-ups and LinkedIn outreach reflect care, not copy-paste.
- Genuine interest in people, culture and wellbeing at work, this matters here.
Nice to have
- A network in the UK HR, reward or procurement market.
- Experience selling through public sector frameworks (e.g. CCS, YPO, NEPO, ESPO).
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce or similar CRM.
- An understanding of salary sacrifice, recognition programmes or ESG / sustainability propositions.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
- A consistently full, self-generated pipeline across public and private sector accounts.
- Quarterly new-business revenue targets met or exceeded.
- Demonstrable, creative use of AI and LinkedIn to open doors that traditional outbound can't.
- Strong, well-managed forecasting accuracy with the CCO.
- Long-term customer relationships handed over cleanly to Client Success.
- A reputation — internally and externally — as a credible, thoughtful partner to HR and procurement leaders.
The Package
- Base salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
- Commission & bonus: Up to £20,000 OTE, uncapped upside on overachievement

- Hybrid working
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

- A team that genuinely cares about doing good work, for good reasons
