Join a high-performing security team driving the evolution of enterprise cyber defence across cloud and on-prem environments. This is an opportunity for a hands-on Security Operations Engineer to play a key role in strengthening detection, automation, resilience, and operational security at scale.
You’ll work across modern cloud platforms, DevSecOps workflows, and security engineering initiatives, helping to build and enhance security capabilities that protect critical business infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build, improve, and manage security operations tooling, processes, and controls.
- Lead initiatives across threat prevention, detection, response, and remediation.
- Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps security workflows.
- Manage and optimise cloud and on-prem security controls including:
- Firewalls
- WAFs
- IAM policies
- Security groups
- Web proxy configurations
- Support vulnerability management, technical audits, and internal security controls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security incidents and operational issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, and engineering teams to embed security best practice.
- Contribute to security awareness and knowledge-sharing across technical and non-technical teams.
Tech Environment
You’ll work with a broad modern security stack including:
- AWS & Azure cloud security
- Terraform & Ansible
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins)
- Linux environments (Ubuntu, Red Hat, Rocky)
- IAM & PAM technologies
- Endpoint security & vulnerability management tools
- Python, Bash & PowerShell scripting
- Office 365 security services
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience across security operations, cloud security, and infrastructure security engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS and/or Azure security services.
- Experience building scalable automation using Terraform and Ansible.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD security practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident response capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across technical teams.
- Passion for improving security maturity through automation and innovation.
Nice to Have
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification
- Exposure to Well-Architected Frameworks
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale security environments
