Information Security Engineer

Job Title: GSec Purview Specialist (SC Cleared)

Location: Hybrid – 1 day per month in London

Rate: £660 per day (Inside IR35)

Description:

We’re seeking an SC Cleared GSec Purview Specialist to join a high-security environment, driving the deployment, configuration, and optimisation of Microsoft Purview for data governance, compliance, and information protection. You’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing data security posture across Microsoft 365 and Azure, ensuring alignment with UK Government and industry compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design, implementation, and management of Microsoft Purview across M365 and Azure.
• Define and enforce data classification, retention, and compliance policies.
• Integrate Purview with existing governance and DLP solutions.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to enhance data visibility and control.
• Produce detailed documentation and handover to operational teams.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, M365 Compliance, and Information Protection.
• Strong understanding of DLP, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and Data Classification.
• Proven track record delivering secure solutions in Government or regulated sectors.
