Job summary
The community service are seeking ideally an administrator to join our team.
The role will support reception cover and back office functions to support the smooth running of the service. You will support a number of our clinical teams but primarily respiratory, SLT, Stroke and dietetics.
This role will be based from Kennedy House, but at times you may be asked to support at Clacton hospital, Harwich hospital, Primary Care Centre or The Crescent in Colchester by prior arrangement.
Our admin colleagues are key to ensuring patients are registered, booked, caseloads up to date, and communications sent out and received. They also take phone calls from our patients and process documents. Good communication skills to be able to communicate with public, patients, staff and wider health system colleagues is essential.
IT skills are required, as we are an electronic based system but we provide full training on our electronic patient system and processes.
Our service operates Monday to Friday only, so no weekend of bank holiday working.
Main duties of the job
Consistent provision of administration support to the team.
To ensure high standard of administrative service is consistently delivered by undertaking all required tasks and activities on a daily basis. Tasks will include accepting patient referrals/booking clinic appointments/Patient contact via telephone/reception duties at various clinic locations/generating clinic letters.
To utilise the required technology in NEECS Community and Acute hospital systems / new technology or system (s) that are introduced and support other team members to do so to deliver an efficient administrative service.
