Digital Programme Manager

Job summary

We are recruiting for a Digital Programme Manager who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

As our Digital Programme Manager, you will be a vital part of our transformation journey. Representing the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) at both local and regional levels, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of digital projects--starting from scoping and resource planning to implementation and evaluation.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare through digital innovation.

You'll oversee governance, ensure milestones are met, and manage key stakeholders to deliver real value. With a hands-on approach, you'll directly manage specific projects and provide support and mentorship to others in the team.

Main duties of the job

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Teaching Trust is a proud member of the Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care System (HWE ICS).

Together with partner organisations across the ICS, we are working collaboratively to:

Drive service improvements through effective cross-organisational collaboration

Break down barriers to care and streamline delivery

Reduce variation and share best practices

Provide shared governance and oversight for programme design and implementation

Ensure responsible allocation of resources across the system

Evaluate and manage system-wide assets, focusing on critical equipment at the end of life

Map current services and identify opportunities for sustainable improvement in imaging services

Qualifications / Training

Essential
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Relevant Masters qualification or equivalent experience of working senior
  • Programme or Project management training or qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD activity
Desirable
  • Quality Improvement training or qualification

Previous Experience

Essential
  • Programme management experience - experience of driving Trustwide / multi-site change programme
  • Experience of managing a team to achieve delivery of planned benefits
  • Experience influencing staff at all levels to ensure project objectives are owned by all members of the team including users and stakeholders. Evidence of the ability to involve teams in analysis of situation and solution development; persuade teams to take on new ways of working and to constructively challenge the status quo
  • Experience of budget management
  • Experience of working in a demanding environment with many, sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Experience of successfully developing collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Desirable
  • Previous NHS experience

  • Highly computer literate to include word / excel / outlook / power point Advanced communication skills both written (complex report writing) and orally including advanced formal presentation / facilitation skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Good leadership skills - with the ability to direct, empower, motivate, challenge and facilitate in order to deliver results
  • Commitment to, and experience of, multi- professional working arrangements and projects.
