Ward Clerk/Receptionist - Ambulatory Care QEII
Job summary
We are recruiting for a Ward Clerk/Receptionist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will be responsible for providing a patient orientated reception service and clerical support to the clinical team in the Ambulatory Care department. You will be expected to be computer literate and any previous reception duties would be an advantage. If you have experience of using Lorenzo and ifit this would be very much desirable although full training will be provided to successful candidates on induction.

Main duties of the job
Meeting and greeting patients and visitors to the department, booking the patients into the department on the Trust's patient system,.
Answering telephone calls dealing with queries in a polite and professional manner.
Escalating any issues to a senior member of the team when required, requesting and filing medical records and working collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth running of the department.
To prioritise own workload using initiative, whilst dealing with frequent interruptions.

Qualifications/Training
- General Education
- GCSE Level or equivalent (Grade A-C)
- IT Skills
Knowledge
- Experience in dealing with patients/customers
