Principal Integration and Systems Validation Engineer
Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Principal Integration and Systems Validation Engineer to join a growing Integration and Systems Validation team, supporting the Land Ceptor project with Ground Based Trials activities for a large export programme.
This role performs a mix of functional testing, equipment qualification and acceptance, plus problem identification and resolution, working with real equipment and supporting testing and demonstrations of capability to the customer across sites in the UK, Poland and the USA.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with stakeholders across the project, from within partner companies and the customer community, to plan trials that demonstrate integration and gather evidence to qualify Weapon Systems into a wider System of Systems environmentLiaising with the systems engineering team and design teams to ensure adequate trials data is acquired, and to investigate and resolve design issuesAnalysing and reporting on in-depth system behaviour across its internal and external interfacesDelivering trials across a number of environments, including lab-based integration and functional rigs, System of Systems integration trials, acceptance trials and firing trialsConducting and supporting failure investigationsSupporting safe and reliable trials, including developing and maintaining risk assessments, management of hardware and software assets, and control of hardware and software configurationThis is a UK-based role, with opportunities to travel abroad, offering a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with guaranteed diverse work, and to become a member of an expanding team delivering key aspects of the latest generation of GBAD system programmes.
