SAP Solution Architect

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a SAP Architect and Project Manager to join a department to assist with an SAP transformation programme, supporting the migration from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA and ensuring the delivery, stability, and long-term sustainability of the SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SAP architecture design and implementation across a large-scale S/4HANA transformation programme
  • Support the migration from ECC6 to S/4HANA using a Greenfield approach, ensuring alignment with group-level core design standards
  • Oversee local deployment of S/4HANA systems within the UK environment
  • Own and support SAP release management processes, ensuring controlled and stable system deployments
  • Ensure integration frameworks between SAP modules and external systems are robust, scalable, and aligned to enterprise architecture
  • Support post-go-live operations, ensuring system stability, issue resolution, and ongoing optimisation
  • Govern technical standards across the SAP landscape, ensuring compliance, security, and scalability
  • Collaborate with vendors, partners, IT teams, and business stakeholders to deliver successful transformation outcomes

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Strong experience in SAP architecture within complex enterprise environments
  • Exposure to SAP transformation programmes, ideally ECC6 to S/4HANA migrations
  • Knowledge of integration frameworks and enterprise system architecture
  • Experience supporting production SAP environments and post-go-live stabilisation
  • Background in SAP release management or structured deployment processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business functions
  • Experience working with external vendors and implementation partners

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Proven SAP architecture design and implementation experience
  • Experience working within or supporting SAP transformation programmes
  • Strong understanding of system integration within SAP landscapes
  • Ability to operate at both technical and delivery governance level
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work within structured architecture and change control environments
