Software Test & Integration Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Software Testing Engineer to join a cutting-edge engineering team focused on the integration and validation of advanced simulation and experimentation systems.

This role performs end-to-end software testing and validation activities across the full product lifecycle and reports to the ISV Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop comprehensive software test strategies, plans, and specifications based on customer requirements
  • Understand system design and architecture, including defining software test bed requirements
  • Conduct progressive software testing throughout development cycles
  • Lead technical investigations into defects and emergent system behaviours
  • Support integration, trials, and demonstrations with partners and customers
  • Perform log and data analysis to identify issues and validate system performance
  • Execute formal software qualification and verification testing
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress and system functionality
  • Produce detailed test reports to support delivery and certification
  • Support software release processes and final verification activities

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Understanding of complex systems and multi-level software architectures
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Experience with software simulation or emulator environments
  • Exposure to tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, JIRA, IBM DOORS or similar ALM/PLM tools
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing approaches
  • Experience using Excel, including basic macros

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Strong experience in software testing and/or systems proving across the development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of verification and validation (V&V) processes
  • Python scripting experience
  • Experience in analysing software logs and data
  • ISTQB certification (or equivalent in software testing)
