Full-Stack Engineer

We are working with a growing MedTech company based in Cambridge, they are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The role requires one day per week in the office.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure web and mobile applications using Nuxt, Vue, and Ionic/Vue.
• Develop and integrate APIs and workflows across physical devices, mobile apps, cloud infrastructure, and front-end platforms.
• Ensure application security, performance, and scalability from architecture to deployment.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code using industry best practices.
• Debug, profile, and optimize applications to ensure a frictionless user experience.
• Lead the development of new features and the enhancement of existing ones.
• Collaborate with product, design, and hardware teams to deliver user-centric solutions.
• Contribute to key architectural and technical decisions as a foundational engineering team member.
• Report directly to the CTO and help shape the future of the product and platform.

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, ideally in early-stage startups.
• Deep experience with Vue or React, including frameworks like Nuxt or Next.
• Proven experience with Ionic for mobile application development.
• Strong backend experience with Node.js, Typescript, and databases including PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Skilled in API development, database architecture, and authentication methods.
• Experience with both DynamoDB and PostgreSQL in production environments.
• A track record of technical ownership, showcased through open-source contributions or public demos/projects.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including experience influencing technical and executive stakeholders.
