Scrum Master (Agile)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Scrum Master (Agile) to join a leading engineering organisation, supporting the delivery of complex engineering programmes through the adoption and development of Agile ways of working. You will play a key role in coaching teams, embedding Agile principles and driving continuous improvement across multidisciplinary projects.
The role is paying between £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience and depth of experience.
This role is responsible for guiding one or more engineering teams throughout their Agile journey, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing delivery impediments and promoting an Agile mindset. You will work closely with programme stakeholders and the wider Agile community to maximise team performance and ensure the successful delivery of value across both hardware and software environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor and support one or more Agile teams in adopting Agile principles and best practices.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
- Identify, manage and remove delivery impediments to maintain team momentum.
- Drive continuous improvement by encouraging inspection, adaptation and team learning.
- Build strong relationships with engineers, Product Owners and programme stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings, ensuring clear actions and valuable outcomes.
- Support Agile transformation initiatives across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Promote collaboration, transparency and effective delivery practices throughout the programme.
- Adapt Agile frameworks pragmatically to suit a complex engineering environment.
The ideal candidate would have
- Experience working as a Scrum Master within a technical or engineering environment.
- Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or similar.
- Experience coaching teams through Agile adoption and continuous improvement.
- Exposure to software, systems engineering or hardware development environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- A proactive, resilient and collaborative approach to leadership.
The ideal candidate must have
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum frameworks and Agile delivery practices.
- The ability to coach, mentor and influence teams to improve Agile maturity.
- Experience facilitating workshops and Scrum ceremonies that deliver measurable value.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to proactively identify and resolve delivery blockers.
- Willingness to work on-site 3-4 days per week.
