An exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to work on cutting-edge defence technologies across multiple seeker programmes, including Future Cruise Anti-Ship Weapon (FC/ASW) and Meteor. This role involves modelling, algorithm development, and systems studies covering the full seeker chain — from radar propagation and hardware response to embedded software algorithms. Models are used to auto-code algorithms, enabling rapid testing, iteration, and delivery.

Based in either Stevenage or Bristol, you will collaborate with a multi-national engineering team, contribute to groundbreaking technology such as Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESAs) and multi-mode sensors, and have opportunities to support field trials and lab testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, verify, and maintain models for seeker systems in MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Design and implement algorithms for radar and multi-mode seeker systems.
  • Perform data analysis and produce technical reports.
  • Support trials, lab testing, and integration activities.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative defence solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in modelling, coding, and algorithm development.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and technical report writing.
  • Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent industry experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink model development.
  • Knowledge of RF systems and digital signal processing.
  • Familiarity with software/firmware development.
  • Understanding of model verification, configuration control, and release processes.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration, Testing, Machine Learning, and AI.

This role offers strong career progression, specialist technical development, and an extensive benefits package including:

• Company bonus up to £2,500
