Systems Project Lead

Electricity connections are complex by nature. Our group's innovative, forward-thinking energy solutions make everything easier: from design to connection and beyond.

Our Group consists of Eclipse Power Networks - an OFGEM licenced Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) that provides an effective alternative to the local Distribution Network Operator for getting projects connected to the electricity grid; Eclipse Power Solutions – an expert Grid Consultancy who support customers through the grid connection process, and Eclipse Power Optimise; focussed on microgrids and private network solutions in the unlicenced market.

We design, own, operate and maintain extra high, high and low voltage electricity distribution network assets, providing innovative power connections to residential, industrial, renewable and commercial customers across the UK.

We care about our people and the talent and personality they bring. We are continuing to strengthen our talent, leadership, training, and recognition for people as they are the core of what we do and how we operate. We have an inclusive culture where people are rewarded and recognised for their inputs, innovation, and customer-centric solutions. We also have fun at work and want people to enjoy what they do and what they are helping to create. To continue to do this we need strong diverse thinking and having people from a range of backgrounds, careers, and expertise help us do this.

Job Purpose:

As Eclipse Power Group continues to grow, we are looking for a curious and proactive, hands-on Systems Project Lead. This role will ensure our internal systems, primarily Monday.com and SharePoint, are fit for purpose, well-structured and maintained, continuously improved and fully adopted across all business units and departments.

You will be fully trained on our systems, but the role requires someone with prior experience who can work independently, confidently resolve issues, and manage system‐related projects from idea through to delivery. The candidate will need to demonstrate initiative, problem solving skills and the confidence to engage with colleagues across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, process improvement and working in a collaborative and growing environment.

Whilst the immediate focus is on Monday.com and SharePoint, the role will also influence and coordinate the use of other systems and support the Groups longer term ambition to unlock greater value from data, reporting and AI tools.

The role will coordinate IT processes such as user onboarding/leavers, equipment allocation and act as the bridge between our people and our external IT/network support provider, as well as liaising with external consultants specific to each system where required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Take ownership of Eclipse Power's core systems (Monday.com and SharePoint, alongside other internal tools)
  • Develop a strong understanding of how systems are used across different departments and business units
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating when needed
  • Work alongside external specialist consultants on more complex projects
  • Suggest and implement improvements to current systems to enhance optimisation, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop automations to processes by utilising the systems
  • Research and evaluate new technologies or tools which could benefit the business
  • Support the use of AI across the organisation
  • Support colleagues by providing guidance and sharing best practice
  • Maintain accurate system documentation and create guidance materials, documentation and deliver light‐touch training where required
  • Co-ordinate system upgrades, improvements and new implementations
  • Maintain asset records, equipment allocation and licences across the organisation

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Essential:

  • 2+ years working with business systems, workflow tools or digital platforms
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools/systems independently
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills and experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work confidently with colleagues at all levels, including non-technical users
  • Self starter mentality – able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new tools and processes

Desirable:

  • Experience with Monday.com and Power BI
  • Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Certifications
  • Project Management certifications
  • Knowledge of Xero, Ultimo, Infinity (EP Tech) or equivalent
  • Awareness of AI tools and their business implications
  • Experience leading system implementation or process improvement projects

Note: Prior experience with Monday.com is helpful but not essential. Candidates with general workflow or project management experience can quickly learn Monday.com which is user friendly. We can provide training and encourage self-learning, so the role is open to those willing to develop in this area.

We are looking for people who embody our personalities:

Friendly experts: When it comes to technical knowledge and experience, customers couldn't be in better hands. We're friendly, approachable and always eager to help.

Collaborative solution finders: We work closely with customers to find a solution that meets their needs in a way that's compliant with standards.

Confidently flexible: We know the rules for every DNO (Distribution Network Operator). And we also know just how flexible we can be to interpret them in ways that save both time and money.

Naturally curious: In our book, there's always a better way. We're always curious to explore every avenue before we arrive at a clear solution.

Relentlessly innovative: Looking for new ways to deal with challenges is part of our DNA. If a conventional route is the best option, we're not afraid to say it. But if there's a way to do something more quickly, more efficiently or more cost-effectively, we'll find it.

We strongly encourage applications from a variety of candidates - we believe that different experiences result in increased ideas, collaboration and success.
