Data Reporting Product Lead
We are recruiting for a Data Reporting Product Lead on behalf of a well-respected Lloyd's Market Insurer.
This role will act as the vital bridge between complex data infrastructure and actionable business insights. The successful candidate will lead data reporting initiatives and activities and own the entire lifecycle of reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning the full data reporting product delivery cycle, acting as the internal consultant and proactively identifying reporting opportunities.
- Leading the discovery phase by gathering business requirements, refining them into technical specifications, and articulating these to Data Engineers and Data Analysts, through to formal business sign-off.
- Building POC reporting mock-ups, MVPs and/or dashboards independently.
- Establishing CoE for BAU data reporting solutions.
- Collaborating with Data Governance Lead on cross-functional data initiatives.
- Defining and tracking Key Performance Indicators.
Key Requirements
- Experience working within the Lloyd's Insurance market is essential.
- Experience of business analysis and product management is essential.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to confidently present reports at board level and regularly work with senior managers and SMEs.
- Experience translating business needs into end user requirements and documented functional and technical specifications for development.
- Strong technical proficiency across SQL, Excel, and BI tools such as Power BI, including hands-on experience with large datasets, data manipulation, reconciliation, transformation, ETL/ELT concepts, and Big Data tools.
- Experience of technical project delivery, such as BI products, Data Migration, Cloud Data Warehouse.
- Formal education in data or computer science at a degree level is preferable.
