Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Newcastle – Hybrid

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000

I am working with a leading digital business that is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining complex, interactive, applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality web applications and digital products for clients.
• Build scalable solutions using C#, .NET, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
• Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure and automation (IaC).
• Launch new projects from the ground up and support deployments.
• Lead code reviews, mentor developers, and ensure best practice is followed.
• Actively contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficient with HTML, CSS (SASS)
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Node, TypeScript).
• Strong back-end expertise in C#.NET or Node/Express.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Experienced in developing accessible, responsive, and cross-browser applications.
• Confident working with Git and agile project tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Previous experience with CMS platforms (Umbraco, Sitecore, or similar) is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
