Edge Computers is a UK-based IT reseller working across Education, SMB, Charity/CEP, and Public Sector organisations.

We’re growing — and we’re building our sales team from the ground up in our new Chester office.

The Role

We’re looking for confident, motivated Sales Development / Lead Generation professionals to join our new sales team.

This role is about starting meaningful conversations , particularly with schools, and identifying where Edge can genuinely support organisations to improve outcomes, reduce costs, and modernise their IT — often at zero upfront cost .

While outbound calling is part of the role, success comes from listening, understanding challenges, and opening the door to solutions that make a real difference .

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Making outbound calls to schools, SMBs, and public sector organisations
  • Building rapport with decision-makers and understanding their challenges
  • Identifying and qualifying opportunities for Edge’s solutions and programmes
  • Raising awareness of funding-led and zero-cost initiatives
  • Accurately logging conversations and follow-ups in the CRM
  • Working closely with senior sales and account managers to hand over qualified opportunities
  • Learning about education funding, digital transformation, and industry trends
  • Contributing ideas to improve outreach and engagement strategies

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need years of sales experience — attitude matters more than background.

You’ll likely be:

  • Genuinely interested in education, technology, and making a positive impact
  • Confident speaking with people on the phone
  • Curious, proactive, and comfortable starting conversations
  • Resilient and able to handle objections constructively
  • Organised and happy working to clear activity targets
  • Keen to learn, develop, and progress your career

Experience in sales, customer service, telesales, or lead generation is helpful — but not essential .

Career Progression (Clear & Structured)

We offer a defined progression pathway , with regular reviews and support:

Level 1 – Sales Development / Lead Generator

  • £20k basic | £30k OTE*
  • Focus: lead generation and qualification

Level 2 – Junior Account Manager

  • £22k basic | £35k OTE*
  • Quoting and closing opportunities

Level 3 – Account Manager

  • £25k basic | £50k OTE*
  • Growing and managing customer accounts

Level 4 – Senior Manager

  • £28k basic | £65k+ OTE*
  • Managing a small sales team and contributing to profit targets

Progression is based on performance, capability, and readiness — not time served.
