OT Network Engineer

Edward Mann are recruiting on behalf of a transport group based in Central London. Our client is recruiting for an OT Network Engineer to join their IT Team.

This role supports the Heads of Information Security and IT in implementing, maintaining, and optimising OT network infrastructure within a safety-critical environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Support, implement and manage OT infrastructure: Cisco Nexus/Access switches, Cisco/Juniper firewalls, Dell servers.
• Deploy and maintain VMware ESXi and StorMagic SvSAN
• Lead setup of racks, cabling, power, and dual ISP circuits.
• Administer VLANs, subnets, firewall policies, and Purdue-model security zoning.
• Manage AD, DNS, DHCP, SIEM, Cisco ISE, SolarWinds, and Splunk
• Oversee remote access, VPN tunnels (SUREWAN 3rd parties), and endpoint security tools (Cisco DUO).
• Apply cybersecurity controls: patch management, antivirus, and access controls
• Provide tech support for OCC systems (CIS/ASC, CCTV, AIMS, OTMR).
• Support FAT/SAT testing and pre-deployment validation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents to minimise downtime.
• Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, audits, and compliance records.
• Drive improvements through fault review, corrective action and documentation.

Candidate - Essential:

• 5+ years experience in network engineering
• Experience with Cisco Networking, Cisco/Juniper Firewalls, VMware and Dell Server environments
• Degree in network engineering, Information Technology, or a similar/related field

Candidate - Desirable:

• OT/industrial control experience within a safety-critical environment
• Transport/Rail sector experience
