Full Stack Engineer
The rise of AI has transformed the information landscape. Online disinformation campaigns and manipulated narratives (once rare or irrelevant) are now everywhere. The internet is at risk of becoming a dead zone filled with GenAI "slopaganda."
Superhuman AI makes it increasingly difficult for people to detect hyperrealistic bots, so the team at Egregious have built AI algorithms to defend the internet from these novel threats. We're looking for another Full Stack Engineer to join us; someone who thinks the internet is worth defending, and who wants to have an outsized impact on the future of the web.
Full-time, on-site, at our HQ in Old Street. As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll build AI agents that autonomously engage with users and tools, develop frontend user workflows, orchestrate Kubernetes clusters, and ship APIs and observability infrastructure. Working closely with our Data Scientists, you'll also build novel frontend components to visualise data and support customer insight and decision-making.
The work is technically demanding. The threats we're defending against evolve weekly, and our roadmap moves with them. You'll spend real time on deep technical research — reading articles and documentation, prototyping, breaking things, going down rabbit holes — and you'll also ship and maintain production code on tight deadlines.

- Outstanding Python, FastAPI, asyncio, and Postman/Insomnia
- Strong Git, Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, and GCP/Azure/AWS
- Good understanding of Playwright, Selenium/Nodriver, BeautifulSoup
- Good React, Vite, JavaScript, CSS, Tailwind
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and RESTful APIs
- Good understanding of proxies, browser tracking, cookies, and browser fingerprinting
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, or similar
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Performs well under pressure and keen to do deep technical research
