Embedded Software Engineer
You will take ownership of cutting edge radio frequency and embedded systems capabilities within the defence technology sector. This role allows you to drive innovative research and development from initial concept through to rapid prototyping and equipment trials while expanding your technical leadership potential.
Essential requirements
- British citizenship with the ability to obtain Security Check clearance.
- Three years of post-graduate software engineering experience.
- Knowledge of languages like C, C++ and Python
- Background in either embedded software, microcontrollers, software defined radios or a highly similar area
The work
- Researching and developing leading edge software solutions in the radio frequency domain.
- Translating client needs into unique technical concepts and design documentation.
- Producing rapid prototypes and pre-production models of equipment.
- Planning and executing practical trials to demonstrate system effectiveness.
Skills and background
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java.
- Exposure to digital signal processing or sensor processing technologies.
- Experience with Linux or Windows environments and microcontroller configuration.
- VHDL scripting for field programmable gate array design is advantageous.
