Data Privacy Lawyer
Data Privacy Lawyer – Remote (UK) | Immediate Start | 3-Month Contract (Likely Extension)
We’re supporting a leading global technology organisation seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer to join on an initial 3-month interim contract, with strong potential for extension.
This is a remote UK-based role, working within a fast-paced legal team and partnering closely with senior counsel and cross-functional stakeholders across the business.
The successful lawyer will have direct experience with IDPC and ICO matters, including regulatory engagement, investigation support, and handling complaints or enforcement actions.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified lawyer with strong data privacy/data protection experience
- Available to start at short notice
- Solid understanding of GDPR and EU/UK data protection frameworks
- Proven experience supporting ICO/IDPC matters, investigations, and regulatory interaction
- Experience reviewing and negotiating data protection clauses in commercial contracts
- Strong ability to manage high-volume workloads in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
What you’ll be doing:
- Advising on a broad range of data protection and privacy matters
- Drafting and negotiating DPAs and privacy-related contractual clauses
- Supporting GDPR compliance and wider European data protection requirements
- Handling internal and external privacy queries, including regulatory requests
- Supporting data mapping, RoPA, and privacy compliance documentation
- Assisting with incident response, breach management, and risk assessments
- Working closely with legal, compliance, product, and operations teams on privacy initiatives
