Litigation Lawyer
Our customer, a global technology company, is looking for an experienced Regulatory Litigation Lawyer to join its international legal team. This role will support regulatory and enforcement matters across multiple jurisdictions, helping the business respond to regulatory enquiries, investigations, and government enforcement actions.
The successful candidate will combine strong litigation or contentious regulatory experience with excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills. You will work closely with internal legal and business teams, coordinating responses to regulators while managing multiple matters in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support regulatory investigations, requests for information (RFIs), and government enforcement matters across jurisdictions outside the United States.
- Coordinate with internal legal teams and cross-functional business stakeholders to prepare accurate, complete, and timely responses to regulatory authorities.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with regulators and external stakeholders where required.
- Manage external counsel, including overseeing performance and controlling legal spend.
- Provide strategic legal support on complex regulatory disputes and contentious matters.
- Ensure matters are handled efficiently while maintaining high standards of legal and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with a recognised law degree.
- Approximately 5-9 years' post-qualified experience (PQE).
- Strong background in litigation, regulatory investigations, or contentious regulatory matters.
- Demonstrated experience responding to regulatory enquiries or government investigations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality legal work in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience advising technology, digital platform, or social media companies.
- Previous exposure to cross-border regulatory or enforcement matters.
- Experience managing external legal counsel and legal budgets.
