Business Analyst Location: SheffieldSalary:c£35,000

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading business to recruit a talented Business Analyst to join their growing IT function.

As Business Analyst, you will:

Sit at the heart of the IT team, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You'll lead on requirements gathering, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and drive projects from inception through to delivery and early life support.

You'll work within an agile environment, using JIRA to manage demand and projects, translating business needs into well-defined Epics and Stories with clear acceptance criteria. Duties & Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops using strong questioning and investigative techniques to capture and document business requirements
  • Contribute to business case creation, defining scope, benefits and recommendations supported by analytical insight
  • Produce process maps, functional specifications and project plans with clearly defined deliverables
  • Manage project delivery end-to-end including testing, risk management, implementation and service transition
  • Work collaboratively with the Solution Architect and wider IT team to identify and evaluate solutions
  • Champion adoption measures to ensure the sustainability and success of delivered solutions
  • Identify and register opportunities for added value improvements and new demand
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the business

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and acting in a Project Management capacity when required
  • Confident facilitator of requirements workshops with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and methodical, with excellent attention to detail and a clear view of the bigger picture
  • Experienced working with JIRA, Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Experience with COINS (configuration, integration or implementation) is advantageous but not essential
  • Highly organised with strong time management and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment
