Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business in Derby to recruit a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
Location: Derby
Salary: £55,000 p.a.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - Rotating 3 Shifts
- 6:00am - 2:00pm
- 2:00pm - 10:00pm
- 10:00pm - 6:00am
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work within a fast-paced FMCG environment, supporting cutting-edge automation and production systems.
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting and improving a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated production lines.
- Perform PLC fault finding and support automation systems.
- Maintain motor control systems, drives and electrical distribution equipment.
- Support robotic systems and automated machinery.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximise plant performance.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
About You
To be successful in this Electrical Maintenance Engineer position, you will possess:
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong PLC fault-finding skills.
- Versatile individual with strong electrical expertise and the ability to fault-find across complex automated production machinery.
- Experience with motor controls, inverters and automation systems.
- Knowledge of robotics and automated production equipment.
- A flexible and hands-on approach to maintenance engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-diagnosis abilities.
