Head of Transformation | 6-Month FTC | Reports to CEO Location: North of England Salary: £100-£120k
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established, market-leading business in the financial services sector who are undergoing a significant technology-led transformation, backed by new private equity investment. This is a rare opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team and play a defining role in shaping the company's technology future.
With a strong heritage and a proven track record of quality, the business is now embarking on an ambitious programme to reclaim its position as the technology leader in its sector. A clear strategy is in place, PE backing is secured, and there is access to proprietary technology through a sister company - the foundations are set. What's needed now is an exceptional transformation leader to bring it all together.
As Head of Transformation, you will provide board-level support to build and deliver a coherent technology strategy - both internal and external - that underpins the company's wider strategic objectives. This is a hands-on, high-influence role working directly with the Senior Leadership Team and the PE firm.
A key element of the role will be collaboration to support the further build of its platform and the subsequent implementation of that technology into the business.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Head of Transformation:
- Partner with the CEO and PE firm to build and articulate a clear, deliverable technology strategy
- Project manage the company's ability to deliver a coherent internal and external technology roadmap
- Work alongside the current Management team to align capability, resource and direction
- Collaborate with the sister company on the continued development and integration of its platform
- Ensure technology coherence across all workstreams, driving accountability and pace
- Provide clear board-level reporting and governance across the transformation programme
Key Skills & Experience required:
- Proven track record in leading technology transformation programmes, ideally within financial services or similarly regulated environments
- Strong programme and project management capability - able to bring structure without bureaucracy
- Experience working with or alongside private equity-backed businesses is advantageous
- Able to work collaboratively with existing leadership, building on what's there rather than starting from scratch
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and able to move at pace
- Available on a 6-month FTC or day rate basis
