IT Support Engineer Chesterfield – 3 days office/ 2 days home Salary £25,000 - £30,000

Key duties & Responsibilities:
You’ll support users across a global business, helping to keep systems running smoothly while delivering a first-class support experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support to users across multiple international offices
- Building, configuring, and deploying laptops and mobile devices for new and existing staff
- Supporting Microsoft 365 including Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, licensing, and user management
- Managing and resolving support tickets through Freshdesk while working to SLAs
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and remote access issues
- Supporting VPN connectivity and secure remote working solutions
- Assisting with Windows environments and gaining exposure to Linux systems
- Working with networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls
- Supporting internal systems, upgrades, and technology improvement projects
- Maintaining IT documentation and supporting security and compliance processes
- Collaborating with senior engineers on infrastructure and cloud-based technologies
Skills & Experience:
We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for technology and a proactive approach to learning and development.
You may already have experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, Helpdesk, or Technical Support role and be looking for an opportunity with more variety, responsibility, and progression.
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 environments
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 users
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience using an IT ticketing system such as Freshdesk, Jira, or ServiceNow
- Confidence troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organised, adaptable, and keen to learn new technologies
