Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer – Temporary Type: Full-time, Temporary Salary: £25-30 per hour

Elevation Tech & Transformation are working with a well-established and growing construction business in Driffield who are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer, initially on a temporary basis to support the business while they recruit for a permanent hire. There is potential for the role to extend or become permanent for the right candidate.

You’ll play a key role in keeping IT systems running smoothly, providing 3rd line support, and supporting infrastructure improvements. This hands-on role involves both on-premises and cloud systems, ensuring stability, security, and scalability across the business.

Key Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments
  • Support Windows and Nix servers, storage, and virtualisation platforms
  • Oversee backups, disaster recovery, and system performance
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange, and SQL environments
  • Provide 3rd line support and resolve complex technical issues
  • Maintain IT documentation and processes in line with ITIL standards 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge of networking, cloud, domain services, and endpoint protection
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange, SQL, and Mimecast
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence
