Interim Procurement Partner

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnered with an established financial services organisation, with the recruitment of two exciting interim positions.

Interim Procurement Partners – Procurement Transformation

Leeds | Up to £400 per day | OUTSIDE IR35 | Initial 6-month contract duration

We are currently looking for two experienced Interim Procurement Partners to join a major Procurement Transformation Programme at an exciting point in its journey.

These are genuine delivery-focused interim opportunities for procurement professionals who enjoy getting things done, working with stakeholders and suppliers, and making a visible impact.

Both positions are OUTSIDE IR35.

The organisation is approximately nine months into a three-year Procurement Transformation Programme, with a significant pipeline of change and improvement activity ahead. The procurement function is undergoing substantial transformation, with a focus on improving spend management, supplier data, governance, category management and the overall procurement operating model.

With approximately £100m of spend across 750 suppliers, there is significant scope for these roles to make an immediate impact.

Role 1 – Interim Procurement Partner | IT & Projects

The first role will focus on providing additional procurement support across a substantial pipeline of IT and transformation projects.

You will be a hands-on procurement lead, taking projects from requirements through to RFP, supplier selection, negotiation and contract completion.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading RFP and tender processes.
  • Managing commercial and supplier negotiations.
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Supporting IT and transformation projects.
  • Procuring SaaS, software and digital services.
  • Supporting the organisation's digital pathway plan.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Providing procurement expertise across IT and selected non-IT categories.

We're looking for:

  • Strong IT procurement experience.
  • Excellent experience across SaaS, software and digital procurement.
  • A proven track record of running RFPs and complex negotiations.
  • Strong contract development and commercial skills.
  • Experience within a services environment such as insurance, banking, retail or the public sector.
  • Global/offshore supplier experience would be advantageous.
  • Someone who is genuinely hands-on and comfortable owning delivery.

A predominantly manufacturing procurement background is unlikely to be the right fit for this position.

Role 2 – Interim Procurement Partner | Transformation

The second role will work closely with the Head of Procurement to accelerate delivery of the wider Procurement Transformation Programme.

A detailed transformation plan is already in place, covering around 75 initiatives, and this role will be instrumental in driving delivery and ensuring the programme gets back on track.

This is an ideal opportunity for a procurement transformation professional who enjoys operating at pace and turning plans into tangible results.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Driving delivery of the Procurement Transformation Programme.
  • Managing delivery against the existing project plan.
  • Supporting the programme to get back on track and maintain momentum.
  • Developing and embedding procurement governance.
  • Improving procurement data and reporting.
  • Supporting the development of the procurement operating model.
  • Developing third-party Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
  • Working directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting negotiations and contract development.
  • Identifying and delivering practical procurement improvements.

We're looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering procurement transformation programmes.
  • A strong delivery mindset – someone who rolls up their sleeves and gets things done.
  • Excellent supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience across procurement governance, data and SRM.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at pace.
  • Someone comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels.
  • A track record of delivering tangible change rather than simply producing strategy.

Why consider these opportunities?

These aren't simply resource-based interim positions. Both roles offer the opportunity to join a significant transformation programme at a pivotal stage and make a genuine, visible impact.

You'll be joining a newly established procurement function with a substantial transformation agenda, significant spend and supplier complexity, and a strong pipeline of projects ahead.

If you're an experienced Interim Procurement Partner, Procurement Transformation Lead, Senior Procurement Manager or Procurement Consultant looking for a genuinely hands-on transformation assignment, we'd be keen to hear from you.

Apply now to discuss the opportunity and find out which of the two positions best matches your experience.
