Master Data Analyst
Location: Hull Sector: Engineering / Manufacturing / ERP Transformation
Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a successful and growing manufacturing organisation that is investing heavily in new digital systems and modernising how product data is managed across the business. As part of this transformation, we are looking to appoint a Master Data Analyst who will take ownership of building, maintaining, and improving the organisation’s product data foundations.
This is a key role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, operations, and IT. You will be instrumental in helping the business move away from legacy tools and towards a robust ERP and PLM environment, ensuring that all product, material, and structural data is accurate and well-governed.
About the RoleReporting into the ERP Project Manager, you’ll be the go-to specialist for everything relating to Bills of Materials and master data. The position involves a mixture of hands-on data tasks, process improvement work, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Areas of Responsibility Shaping Data Standards-
Guide teams on how best to structure BoMs and master data so they work smoothly within new ERP systems.

Work with stakeholders to set clear rules, responsibilities, and validation steps for product data.

Help design data models that can support future product lines, new technologies, and business growth.

Build, update, and check BoMs and associated master data within both existing systems and new ERP/PLM platforms.

Support engineering change processes, ensuring that documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with business requirements.

Play a key role in data migration activities—checking, cleansing, and validating information during system transition.

Carry out routine data quality checks and ensure compliance with internal standards.

Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and IT teams to prevent or resolve data issues.

Provide training and guidance on new processes, standards, and tools as systems evolve.

Keep clear records of data structures, process updates, and governance frameworks.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Confident communicator who can translate technical detail into simple, clear messages.

High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.

Comfortable adapting to new systems, shifting priorities, and evolving project needs.

Proactive problem-solver who can identify issues early and work with others to resolve them.

Experience working with ERP or PLM platforms—particularly during implementation or migration phases.

Exposure to engineering or manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.

Strong grounding in BoM creation, master data management, and change control processes.

Experience supporting or training colleagues on new systems or data processes.

Confident working with Microsoft Office; familiarity with tools such as Jira or DevOps would be advantageous.
