SAP Asset Management Systems Engineer

Location: Rotherham Salary: £50,000-£60,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a leading international engineering and manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Systems Engineer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a true SAP EAM/Plant Maintenance (PM) specialist who thrives on improving asset management systems, engineering data and maintenance processes. Working as the technical expert for SAP EAM, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring engineering and maintenance teams have accurate, reliable systems and data to maximise asset performance across a complex manufacturing environment.

This role would suit someone who enjoys combining technical SAP expertise with process improvement, stakeholder engagement and digital transformation.

As the SAP EAM Systems Engineer, you will act as the organisation's subject matter expert for SAP Enterprise Asset Management, taking ownership of engineering asset data, maintenance planning and continuous improvement across the SAP platform.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the primary technical expert for SAP EAM (Plant Maintenance) and associated engineering systems
• Supporting the onboarding of new plants, assets and maintenance activities into SAP
• Managing engineering master data including equipment records, functional locations, Bills of Materials (BOMs), spare parts and preventative maintenance plans
• Supporting engineering and maintenance teams in the effective use of SAP PM, Materials Management and related systems
• Delivering user training, coaching and best practice guidance across engineering and operations
• Supporting annual maintenance planning, shutdowns and turnaround activities through effective SAP configuration and reporting
• Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, work instructions and system documentation
• Working alongside digital and global teams to implement SAP enhancements, upgrades, Fiori applications and future EAM functionality
• Supporting integration with engineering systems including Winshuttle, Prometheus and other approved digital solutions
• Driving consistency across maintenance processes, engineering data and spare parts management
• Developing reports, dashboards and KPI analysis to improve maintenance performance and asset reliability
• Investigating SAP system issues, coordinating resolutions and supporting business continuity
• Identifying opportunities for automation, digitalisation and continuous improvement
• Ensuring engineering and maintenance data remains accurate, compliant and effectively governed

This position is ideally suited to someone who has built their career around SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

To be successful you will have:

• Engineering qualification (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)
• Extensive hands-on experience as an SAP PM/EAM specialist - this is an essential requirement
• Strong understanding of maintenance management, asset management principles and engineering master data
• Experience creating and maintaining equipment records, functional locations, maintenance plans, BOMs and spare parts data
• Knowledge of SAP Materials Management and wider engineering systems would be advantageous
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience delivering user training and support
• A collaborative approach with the confidence to influence engineering and maintenance teams at all levels
