Elevation Tech & Transformation are working with a prestigious organisation in Barnsley to recruit a hands-on Support Desk Manager.

Reporting to the Head of IT, this role combines team leadership (circa 35%) with active involvement in technical support, escalations and complex tickets. This is a player-coach position not a purely supervisory role.

The Role

  • Lead, mentor and develop a small IT support team
  • Act as the escalation point for complex issues
  • Manage ticket queues and SLA performance
  • Remain hands-on across day-to-day support
  • Drive improvements in process and service delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience in a Team Lead / Supervisory IT support role
  • Strong background in service desk / end-user support
  • Solid Microsoft 365 administration (users, licensing, mailboxes)
  • Experience with Windows Server, AD, Group Policy, VPN, WiFi
  • Confident handling escalations

Desirable: Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Halo, ITIL, Veeam, Mimecast.
