Elevation Tech & Transformation are working with a prestigious organisation in Barnsley to recruit a hands-on Support Desk Manager.
Reporting to the Head of IT, this role combines team leadership (circa 35%) with active involvement in technical support, escalations and complex tickets. This is a player-coach position not a purely supervisory role.
The Role
- Lead, mentor and develop a small IT support team
- Act as the escalation point for complex issues
- Manage ticket queues and SLA performance
- Remain hands-on across day-to-day support
- Drive improvements in process and service delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrable experience in a Team Lead / Supervisory IT support role
- Strong background in service desk / end-user support
- Solid Microsoft 365 administration (users, licensing, mailboxes)
- Experience with Windows Server, AD, Group Policy, VPN, WiFi
- Confident handling escalations
Desirable: Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Halo, ITIL, Veeam, Mimecast.
