Systems Accountant
We’re working with a growing manufacturing business in Doncaster that is looking to appoint a Systems Accountant to join their finance team. This is a varied role that combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with ownership and development of the business’s NetSuite ERP system.
The position offers a good mix of finance and systems, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across both areas. You’ll support the day-to-day finance function while also helping to improve how NetSuite is used across the business, ensuring accurate reporting, reliable data and efficient financial processes.
Working closely with the finance team and wider business stakeholders, you’ll play an important role in both financial reporting and ongoing system improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and month-end processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Act as a key finance contact for NetSuite-related queries and user support.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and saved searches within NetSuite.
- Investigate data issues and help maintain the integrity of financial information.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting and system efficiency.
- Support NetSuite enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Work closely with finance, operational and IT teams to improve workflows and reporting
About you
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite ERP.
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
- Good Excel and data analysis skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across different teams
