Technical Call Centre Advisor Location: Thurrock Salary: Up to £30,000 Hours: Monday – Friday (early finish on Fridays)Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you technically minded with a background in customer service or support roles? We're working with a well-established manufacturing business in Thurrock that is looking to expand its team with the addition of a Technical Call Centre Advisor.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, supportive environment where you’ll play a key role in maintaining high service standards, identifying technical issues, and ensuring smooth coordination between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

You’ll act as a first point of contact for customer calls, helping to assess queries and deliver cost-effective, practical solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Responding to inbound customer calls and filtering technical queries

• Liaising with repair agents and logging detailed descriptions of work carried out

• Updating internal databases, compliance records, and CRM systems

• Checking for outstanding credits from suppliers and following up as needed

• Reporting on technical issues, identifying trends, and escalating recurring problems

• Supporting wider service and compliance teams with admin and tracking tasks

• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach

• Technically minded – able to understand and explain product faults and solutions

• Confident using systems and databases

• Able to work across departments and build good relationships with external repairers and suppliers

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a similar technical environment is a bonus
