Project Support Officer
Must be based in Birmingham
💷 £25,000–£30,000 (depending on experience)
We're looking for a proactive and organised Project Officer to support the delivery of software implementation projects for local authority and social housing clients
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project coordination or project support experience who is looking to develop their career in project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support software implementation projects from planning through to go-live
- Coordinate project plans, timelines and milestones
- Maintain project documentation, action logs and risk registers
- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Support software configuration, testing (UAT) and user acceptance activities
- Assist with client training and system rollouts
- Gather business requirements and support continuous system improvements
About You
- 1–2 years' experience in project coordination, project support or project administration
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Keen to build a long-term career in project management
Desirable
- Experience supporting software implementation projects
- Experience with UAT, software testing or system configuration
- Knowledge of Agile or PRINCE2 methodologies
- Experience using Jira, Trello or similar project management tools
- Experience within social housing, local government or housing management systems
