Are you an electrically qualified engineer with a background in FMCG, processing, or continuous manufacturing environments looking for an opportunity with exceptional shift flexibility and clear leadership progression?

The Role
- Delivering planned preventive maintenance schedules and providing rapid response to electro-mechanical breakdowns
- Troubleshooting electrical faults, variable speed drives (VSDs), AC/DC motors, sensors, and PLC-controlled systems
- Carrying out mechanical fault diagnosis and repairs on continuous handling systems, including pumps, drives, and conveyors
- Acting as the lead technical point of contact during shift operations to ensure uninterrupted production output
- Performing root cause analysis on repeat issues to enhance overall machine efficiency and reliability
- Logging all breakdown data, statutory maintenance, and spare parts usage accurately
- Working alongside production teams to uphold health, safety, and operational standards
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and equipment modifications across the plant
The Candidate
- Electrically biased engineer with relevant technical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Practical cross-skilled mechanical capability (pumps, mechanical transmissions, pneumatics)
- Proven track record in continuous manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or packaging sectors
- Strong diagnostic capability across electrical schematics, motor controls, VSDs, and PLC inputs/outputs
- Self-motivated and confident working independently during shift cover
- Proactive approach to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards
