Head of Workforce Planning
We are partnering with a leading global investment management organisation to appoint a Head of Workforce Planning.
This is a newly created leadership role, with responsibility for establishing Workforce Planning as a new enterprise capability.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and lead a new enterprise Workforce Planning capability, initially focused on operational workforce planning.
- Partner with Finance and senior business leaders to develop consistent workforce planning processes, governance, data and decision-making frameworks.
- Develop and embed a strategic workforce planning capability, translating business strategy into future workforce demand, critical skills and capability requirements.
- Build and lead a Workforce Planning Centre of Excellence, establishing best practice, methodologies and operating standards across the organisation.
- Partner with HRBPs, People Analytics, Talent and business leaders to deliver workforce insights, scenario modelling and strategic recommendations.
- Use workforce data and intelligence to inform decisions around growth, productivity, automation, skills and organisational capability.
- Lead large-scale workforce transformation programmes and introduce emerging technologies, workforce intelligence platforms and innovative planning approaches.
- Influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of workforce planning as a core enterprise capability across a complex, global organisation.
About you
- Significant experience leading Workforce Planning across a complex, global or matrixed organisation.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale workforce transformation and building new organisational capabilities.
- Strong expertise across both operational and strategic workforce planning, workforce analytics and scenario modelling.
- Experience partnering closely with Finance, HR, People Analytics, Talent and senior business leadership.
- Strong understanding of external Workforce Planning best practice, emerging technologies and future workforce trends, including AI and skills-based organisations.
- Commercially astute with the ability to translate complex workforce data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the credibility to engage and challenge senior leaders.
- Experience establishing and leading a Workforce Planning Centre of Excellence or similar enterprise capability is highly desirable.
