About the Role

We're looking for an experienced AWS Developer to join our clients engineering team and help build secure, scalable cloud-native services. This is a fully remote, permanent position open to candidates based anywhere in the UK with full working rights.

You'll work across a modern AWS ecosystem, contributing to new feature development, architecture decisions, automation, and performance optimisation.

Tech Stack You'll Work With

You'll be hands-on with a wide range of AWS services, including:

Compute & Serverless: Lambda, EC2
Networking & Security: VPC, IAM, Secrets Manager
APIs & Application Services: API Gateway, AppSync, GraphQL
Event-Driven Architecture: EventBridge, SNS, SQS
Data & Storage: DynamoDB, S3
Developer & Deployment Tools: CDK, Amplify
Monitoring & Observability: CloudWatch
Authentication: Cognito

What You'll Do

Design and develop serverless applications and microservices on AWS
Build and maintain IaC using AWS CDK
Develop secure and scalable APIs (REST & GraphQL)
Integrate event-driven workflows via EventBridge, SNS, and SQS
Implement cloud-native authentication and authorisation using Cognito & IAM
Optimise performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
Work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps functions
Ensure best practices in monitoring, logging, and security

What We're Looking For

Strong commercial experience with AWS development
Hands-on expertise across the listed tech stack
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., TypeScript, Node.js, Python)
Experience building serverless and event-driven architectures
Strong understanding of IaC (CDK preferred)
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Must be UK-based with full right to work (no sponsorship available)
