About the Role

We're looking for an experienced AWS Developer to join our clients engineering team and help build secure, scalable cloud-native services. This is a fully remote, permanent position open to candidates based anywhere in the UK with full working rights.

You'll work across a modern AWS ecosystem, contributing to new feature development, architecture decisions, automation, and performance optimisation.

Tech Stack You'll Work With

You'll be hands-on with a wide range of AWS services, including:

  • Compute & Serverless: Lambda, EC2
  • Networking & Security: VPC, IAM, Secrets Manager
  • APIs & Application Services: API Gateway, AppSync, GraphQL
  • Event-Driven Architecture: EventBridge, SNS, SQS
  • Data & Storage: DynamoDB, S3
  • Developer & Deployment Tools: CDK, Amplify
  • Monitoring & Observability: CloudWatch
  • Authentication: Cognito

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop serverless applications and microservices on AWS
  • Build and maintain IaC using AWS CDK
  • Develop secure and scalable APIs (REST & GraphQL)
  • Integrate event-driven workflows via EventBridge, SNS, and SQS
  • Implement cloud-native authentication and authorisation using Cognito & IAM
  • Optimise performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps functions
  • Ensure best practices in monitoring, logging, and security

What We're Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience with AWS development
  • Hands-on expertise across the listed tech stack
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., TypeScript, Node.js, Python)
  • Experience building serverless and event-driven architectures
  • Strong understanding of IaC (CDK preferred)
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be UK-based with full right to work (no sponsorship available)
