Data Architect – Azure SQL, Power Apps, .NET

Contract | 6 Months | Hybrid (London/Birmingham) | Up to £750/day

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with strong Azure SQL, Power Apps, and .NET experience to support a major infrastructure programme.

You’ll play a key role in reviewing and optimising data architecture across multiple systems, improving performance, security, and scalability while guiding engineering teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Review and optimise Azure SQL data architecture across multiple platforms
• Assess and improve data security, access controls, and encryption
• Design and enhance data models and schemas
• Provide architectural guidance and assurance to delivery teams
• Support implementation and validation of data solutions
• Contribute to documentation, testing, and release processes

Must-Have:

• Strong experience with Azure SQL (design, performance tuning, security)
• Experience with Azure Blob Storage
• Background working with Power Apps and .NET data solutions
• Solid understanding of Azure architecture, identity, and governance
• Proven experience in data modelling and schema design
• Strong stakeholder communication skills

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in large-scale or public sector programmes
• Knowledge of data governance and monitoring frameworks
• Familiarity with hybrid/cloud data platforms

Start: ~2–3 weeks

Location: Hybrid (London & Birmingham – ~3 days/week)

Interview: 1-stage technical interview

Duration: 6 months
