Assurance Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Assurance Engineer to join our team on an 11-month assignment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in systems engineering and functional safety, particularly within regulated environments such as aerospace or space sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain safety and assurance cases at the technical systems level.
- Conduct quality assurance activities in line with regulatory standards.
- Analyse system designs and elicit functional requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety and assurance standards.
- Provide technical input and assurance oversight for software and electronic hardware design and development.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, producing clear and concise documentation.
- Support audits, reviews, and assessments related to system safety and assurance.
Required Background
- Systems Engineering experience, ideally with a focus on communication networks (tactical or civilian).
- Strong functional safety knowledge at the technical systems level.
- Prior experience in aerospace, space, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.

- Proven experience writing safety/assurance cases.
- Familiarity with software and electronic hardware design and assurance processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex system designs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
