Working arrangements: on-site 4 days per week

Clearance: minimum SC cleared, DV eligible and willing

Salary: £60,000-£70,000

The role:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile cloud engineer with a strong background in AWS, Terraform and Ansible. You will be contributing to the secure design, development and deployment of cloud infrastructure. This is a great opportunity to work on exciting projects in a small collaborative team with a high degree of autonomy. This would be a perfect step up position from a Cloud Systems Admin position looking to develop towards the design element.

Core Responsibilities:

• Securely design, develop and maintain infrastructure, applications and devices following industry best practices
• Deployment and uptime of cloud services
• Deploying cloud services using IAC, creating resilient and highly available networks
• Deploy applications with Ansible
• Collaborate with the wider Applied Technology team and customer to define, design and propose innovative solutions to complex problems
• Investigate and test innovative technologies and services to improve the work we do

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience with AWS cloud computing
• Experience using IAC, such as Terraform
• Experience with Ansible for configuration
• Proficiency in networking
• Knowledge of cyber security design and implementation
• Experience deploying open-source tools and applications
• Experience with containerization and deployment of applications
