This role is ideal for a professional with strong project delivery, stakeholder management, and leadership experience, capable of overseeing complex software and technology projects within a structured and regulated environment.You will take full ownership of end-to-end project delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and governance.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery & GovernanceLead the end-to-end delivery of software and technology projectsDefine scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables with stakeholdersEstablish and maintain governance, including risk management and reportingEnsure adherence to methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, Waterfall, or hybrid approachesManage budgets, resources, and dependenciesStakeholder ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients and senior leadershipBuild and maintain strong working relationshipsEnsure clear communication across all levelsManage expectations throughout the project lifecycleTeam Leadership & CoordinationCoordinate cross-functional teams (Development, QA, DevOps, Product, and Support)Provide leadership and direction to project teamsRemove blockers and enable efficient deliveryPromote a collaborative and high-performing delivery cultureRisk & Issue ManagementIdentify, assess, and manage project risks and issues proactivelyImplement mitigation strategies to minimise impactEscalate risks and issues appropriatelyReporting & PerformanceProvide regular and accurate project reporting, including status updates, risks, financials, and key milestonesTrack and analyse project performance against KPIs and SLAsEnsure transparency and accountabilityContinuous ImprovementContribute to the development and improvement of project delivery frameworks and standardsIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery outcomesStay informed of industry best practices and emerging trendsWorking Arrangements * Hybrid working: Glasgow office, home-based, and occasional travel * Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30 (37.5 hours per week) * Additional hours may be required depending on project demands (TOIL or overtime applies)RequirementsEssential * Proven experience managing complex software or IT projects end-to-end * Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and cross-functional teams * Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and governance frameworks * Experience working within Agile and/or PRINCE2 environments * Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving abilitiesDesirable * Experience working in regulated environments (e.G. health, justice, or central government) * Experience in a senior or programme management role * Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or MS Project * Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and DevOps or CI/CD practicesQualifications * Degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field * PRINCE2, Agile (Scrum), or equivalent certification
