Senior Project Manager / Delivery Lead

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Delivery Lead to join a major transformation programme, leading the discovery phase of two critical technology projects: an Azure tenant migration and an Active Directory to Entra migration.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where you'll be responsible for overseeing delivery governance, managing stakeholder expectations, tracking project progress, and ensuring successful discovery outcomes. You'll work closely with delivery partners who will be conducting the technical discovery, whilst taking ownership of project coordination, planning, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Beyond discovery, you'll play a key role in shaping the teams, delivery approach, and roadmap for the subsequent implementation phases.

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager / Delivery Lead, you'll combine strong project management fundamentals with modern delivery practices, acting as the bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, third-party suppliers, and programme leadership

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing and overseeing the discovery phase for two strategic migration programmes.
• Tracking progress, risks, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
• Managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and delivery partners.
• Coordinating internal and offshore delivery teams.
• Facilitating planning sessions, workshops, governance forums, and steering groups.
• Providing clear and concise project reporting and documentation.
• Supporting the definition of delivery teams, operating models, and plans for implementation phases.
• Ensuring effective governance and alignment between business and technology stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

• Strong project management background delivering complex technology programmes.
• Proven experience managing project budgets and financials.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior business leaders and third-party suppliers.
• Experience working with offshore delivery teams.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in complex environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Experience managing risks, dependencies, and programme governance.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery principles and methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Ability to lead teams through ambiguity and uncertainty whilst maintaining delivery momentum.

Technical Experience

• Experience delivering or managing projects involving: Azure Tenant Migrations, Microsoft 365 migrations, SharePoint migrations, Data migration programmes, Active Directory to Microsoft Entra migrations, Cloud transformation and migration initiatives
