Job Description

The Growth discipline is responsible for driving business growth, managing partnerships, and providing industry subject matter expertise and advisory to both clients and internal teams. This strategic and consultative team builds meaningful relationships with clients through a deep understanding of IT professional services, digital transformation, and the evolving Payments technology landscape.

As a Senior Business Development Manager – Payments at Endava, you will identify and engage new enterprise clients, introducing them to Endava’s capabilities in IT professional services, digital transformation, and custom software engineering.

This role requires a sales leader with experience selling complex IT services and custom software development solutions into the Payments ecosystem, including payment providers, fintechs, banks, and financial institutions.

You will guide clients through the entire sales lifecycle, helping them modernize and transform their technology platforms through application development, data and AI engineering, cloud transformation, and digital platform engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor selling IT Professional Services and custom software development solutions to enterprise clients within the Payments ecosystem.
  • Identify and develop new client opportunities through strategic prospecting, networking, industry events, referrals, and targeted outreach.
  • Own and execute the full end-to-end enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new logo opportunities aligned with revenue targets.
  • Engage senior stakeholders (CIO, CTO, CDO, VP Engineering, Head of Payments, etc.) to position digital transformation initiatives and custom technology solutions.
  • Identify client challenges around legacy systems, payments infrastructure modernization, platform engineering, data and AI, and cloud adoption, and position Endava’s services as the solution.
  • Lead the development of proposals, solution positioning, and Statements of Work (SOWs) in collaboration with delivery and solution teams.
  • Negotiate and close strategic multi-year IT services engagements.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets through new business acquisition and strategic account growth.
  • Act as a Payments industry subject matter expert, understanding the evolving technology landscape and emerging trends.
  • Represent Endava at industry events, fintech forums, and payments conferences to build market presence and generate new opportunities.
  • Support sales and marketing campaigns by identifying priority targets and ensuring strong follow-up on leads generated through events and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in new business development selling IT Professional Services, including custom software development, digital transformation, or consulting services.
  • Experience selling technology services into the Payments ecosystem (payments providers, fintechs, banks, card networks, or financial institutions).
  • Strong understanding of payments technologies, infrastructure, and industry trends, including areas such as payment processing, digital wallets, open banking, fraud prevention, and real-time payments.
  • Demonstrated experience selling complex IT solutions such as application development, platform engineering, data engineering, AI solutions, or cloud transformation.
  • Proven track record of hunting new business and closing enterprise-level deals.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence C-level and senior technology decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding annual revenue quotas.
  • Experience preparing and presenting proposals, business cases, and Statements of Work (SOWs).

  • Travel is an integral part of the role and will include local, national, and international travel.
  • Candidates must have a valid passport and be able to travel as required.
  • Work-related tradeshows or live events may occasionally require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to go into corporate or client offices to work onsite, as necessary.
  • Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer, as necessary.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead, as necessary.
  • Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment, as necessary.
  • Vision abilities including close vision, toleration of fluorescent lighting, and adjusting focus, as necessary.
